ALL engines ar basicaly air pumps, so the more air and feul you put in, the more power you get at the wheels. the supercharger can provide more air, but I haven't seen a blow thru carb for one yet. Also, most motors(diesel, gas, 2+4 stroke, rc car, locomotive) have overlap( exhaust and intake open at same time). Forced iduction can work on a nitro motor, it's just not all there yet.

I wrecked a few early savage diffs, mostly from screws backing out. I havent had a problem for a long time untill Ibought a used X with an axial 32, now I'm ripping 4 teeth off the pinion gear

some racing organizations have specific noise limits for nitro vehicles, I'm fairly sure that if you found a FEMCA certified pipe, it would be quieter and at least as powerful. are you sure it is the noise, or are they jealous that you can out run their full size cars?
