Hey peopel.
I just prototyped the craziest thign i'v ever herd of!
It's an audio amp that uses a flourescent tube!!!!
Yes, thesame type that offices and schools and stuff use for lighting! Those long white lamps.
It turns out that if you wrap 1500 turns of wire around one of these lamps, and connect it to a small audio amp, the coil of wire will cause the electroncs goign through the lamp to change the way they move somehow.
So if you connect music to the coil, the electrons goign through the lamp would sync themselves with the music. And you will get varying current throught the tube. Thats what an audio amp is!!!
If the lamp tube is run through an audio transofrmer connected to a speker, it actually amplifies music!!!
As far as i know the one i built is one of the only prototypes in the world.

hers a video of it. It doesnt do much...just makes wierd noises...it's more of a synth than an amp at the moment...but it works media.putfile.com/plasma-synthturn up the volume because it's quiet
