well....im not one for nitros, but what im thinking maybe a lil bit to lean (less fuel) which means not enough lubricant whcih would be why it got scratched up so much and caused it to lock up. or possibly waaaay to rich (more fuel) causing it to lock up, though id have to go with to lean, because running rich means more fuel which would provide more lube which wouldnt scratch up the sleave. plus to rich would make it harder to start and keep runing. so definatley to lean. sorry for such a long post cuz its prolly sorta confusing, but hey just showin ya what might be the problem ......but if ya could post some pics of the damage would be nice just to further see whats up. edit: since you broke it in, was there any changes in weather? cuz you do have to reset the carb when the weather changes.....cold: run lean so it runs hotter to keep it going.....hot: run slightly richer to keep it lubed up and low on heat peace, love, rock!

ah well thats good then. fuel mixture probably isnt the problem. is this enigne the one from a nitro evader st? cuz ive heard those engines arent that reliable. the scratches may be because of debri (dust, sand etc.) that somehow entered the engine

Ya it did i think sand got in to it and tore the heck out of the sleave and then got stuck and bent the rod

Thats it, Getting dirt in a nitro engine is a HUGE no no. It will rip just about everything up in a matter of minutes.

Ya, getting something in a nitro engine is an instant problem. Dubro air filters work great! Just remember to use after run oil.

Also try to keep your filter clean at all times.
