Sup guys,
I have a RC18T and a Mini-LST. I got my RC18T about 2 1/2 years ago from my LocalHobbyShop for 174.96$. I just got my Mini-LST this 2005 Christmas, havnt been to happy with it, I have boken more parts on it in 1 month, than I have on my RC18T in 2 years, if it wernt for losi having very nice people working at the customer service department, and sending you free stuff if you ask, I don't think I would still own it. I got my RC18T, and a few months after I got it, I decided; I want to go a little faster, so I bought a Reedy Mini Max motor. I took it to race a couple off weeks after I had bought the mini max, and at the final heat, it was acting up, pulled it over to the side with one lap left because it was to the point where it was embarrising having everybody looking at me and the RC18T because it was swerving so much, Picked it up, tuned it off, it started gunning it and the weels were spinning at top rpm. A few seconds later, the stock ESC caught fire, and it stopped, and boy, the smell of electronics brning isnt the greatest thing. I saved up some money for a few weeks, and went to the LHS and bought a Novak Spy Micro reversible ESC for about 64$. Took it home, programmed it, worked great! I ran it like that for about half a year, so, I have relitives in Tennessee, so we were going there for spring break, we got there, a few days pass, it couldnt aline its self, it would iether going to the right a tad, or going to the left, found out the gears in the stearing servo went bad, so then a few more days, we drive back home to Co. and go to the LHS, buy a new stearing servo, install it, works better, but still not perfect, I look around the web, I see a aluminum stearing link is supposed to helf, so I buy one. UPS shipped it, I recived it, installed it, now I don't know if I would want it any better! Then, a few months passed, the tread on the stock wheels was realy worn down quite a bit, I decided to get some Trinity off road MT tires and stick em' on my RC18T. Now, about 2 weeks after I got my Mini-LST, I bought some factory team aluminum threaded shocks for my RC18T just because I wanted a little more blingage. And that is all that has happened to my RC18T since I bought it. I got my Mini-LST on christmas, I was very exited, got everything in working order that night, drove it around the house, it was great. I had a friend over to my house, we were all out driving it and we bought out a jump, we made it through about 2 packs, 3rd pack, he was running it, took the jump at an akward angle, and snapped the A-arm, ball stud stripped out and lost it, and the turnbuckle went with it, never found them, so I buy an A-arm, turnbuckle, and some ball studs of ebay, about 15$ for it all, a week or so after that, I stripped the diffs, call losi, ask for some new ones, they shipped them, I have them, and have had them for about 2 months, havnt installed them yet, just knowing that they will strip agian, and I dont want to go through all that hassle agian, so I have just been running my RC18T for that time. It has been great!
