yea the piston is VERY tight out of the factory. people have had to put some ARO in it and slowely spin the flywheel till it starts moving. their engines were never user friendly......lots of 3.3's worked out though

True, but that still shouldn't happen. They put the same connecting rod that the 2.5 has in the 3.3 That doesn't make a bit of sense. Why on earth would you put a rod from a smaller engine on a bigger more powerful engine?

Years ago They saw a need for our customers to have an easy and affordable way to protect their investment in their Traxxas nitro model and keep the engine performance factory-fresh. Ther solution is the Lifetime Engine Replacement Plan, developed exclusively for ther customers. Engines wear out over time and need to be rebuilt. Rebuilding engines from parts can be costly and time consuming; and can be outside the mechanical skills of many enthusiasts. With the Traxxas Lifetime Engine Replacement plan, a worn out or damaged engine can be traded in for a brand-new, factory-fresh TRX Racing Engine right away by simply exchanging your worn engine at your local hobby store. The cost is 1/2 of the retail price of the new replacement engine. It’s less expensive than rebuilding the engine yourself and you get the peace of mind knowing your engine is brand new (not refurbished), and ready to deliver the power and reliability you expect. In many cases, installing the new engine only takes minutes and you're back in action.

any thing from the 2.5 will fit on the 3.3 except the body post. You will not need CVDs because of the revo drive train
